Emaar plans foray into hypermarkets with Carrefour

Dubai-based real estate developer Emaar Properties delayed entry into Indias retail market may finally happen with a global partner in hypermarkets after a struggle in the retail scenario. Emaar is quickly trying to gain ground by building a bridge with players like Carrefour from France and Spinneys supermarkets in Dubai.

Dubai Asmaran Bawadi

Emaar Bawadi, the joint venture between Emaar Properties and Bawadi, a member of Tatweer Group, has announced the mixed-use components of its first project, Asmaran. The 70 million square foot project will be a part of Bawadi, located within Dubailand, and close to Dubais landmarks and easily accessible from the Emirates Road and Dubai Bypass. Emaar and Bawadi will have equal equity participation on Asmaran.
